Large Group and Multi-Family Cottage Rentals on the French River

Hartley Bay Cottages can host up to 18 guests across three private cottages on the same property. Each cottage sleeps up to 6 (children aged 5 and under do not count toward the maximum), so a group of 12 books two cottages and a group of 13 to 18 books all three.

How groups usually book:
- 7 to 12 guests: two cottages, for example The Aspen and The Birch (each with 3 bedrooms).
- 13 to 18 guests: all three cottages, with the whole waterfront to yourselves. See booking all three cottages.
- Each cottage keeps its own private hot tub, BBQ, fire pit and dock, so families get their own space while sharing the lake, the sauna and the green space.

Good to know for groups:
- In July and August stays run Saturday to Saturday; in spring and fall, shorter stays of 2 to 3 nights are often available.
- The Birch has a lakeside gazebo with a dining table for 8, a good gathering spot.
- Check-in is self-serve from 3:00 PM with an electronic lock; check-out is by 10:00 AM.
- The quoted price includes our turnover fee, so there is no separate cleaning fee. 13% HST is added.
- If you rent all three cottages, dogs may be off leash.

Send an inquiry with your dates and group size and we will reply with a quote. See also why booking multiple cottages works for group travel.
